About This Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced, skilled Lead Installer to take ownership of our paint protection film, ceramic coating, and commercial wrap operations. If you have 5+ years of professional installation experience, a track record of flawless work on luxury and exotic vehicles, strong technical skills with DAP and PPF plotting software, and the ability to set the standard for a growing team, this is the role for you. You’ll lead complex projects, hold the quality bar, and grow your income through our base-plus-commission structure.

About Audiomaxx

Audiomaxx is a new, purpose-built PPF, ceramic coating, and commercial wrap studio opening this fall in Rockland County, backed by a team with 30+ years in the automotive trade. This isn’t a back-alley operation. We’re building a controlled, properly lit studio with the right environment and equipment to do clean, repeatable, high-end work. We serve Rockland County and the surrounding Tri-State area with a commitment to quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and professional excellence. We’re scaling deliberately, and we need a skilled lead who can both deliver exceptional results and elevate the entire operation.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, you’ll oversee the quality and delivery of our PPF, ceramic, and wrap installations. You’ll apply your expertise in DAP and PPF plotter software to deliver precise results, coordinate daily schedules with the sales side, and — as we grow — help mentor and develop the installers who come after you. You’ll set the quality standard that defines the Audiomaxx name from day one. Compensation includes a base rate plus a percentage of the profit from every installation you lead or complete.

What You’ll Do

    • Lead and execute professional paint protection film installations on vehicles and complex projects, ensuring flawless precision and customer satisfaction

    • Apply ceramic coatings, including the prep and multi-stage paint correction that make them worth doing

    • Execute commercial and fleet wraps, partial wraps, and custom work to exacting standards

    • Use DAP (Design Application Platform) and PPF plotter software to design, template, and execute precision cuts on high-value vehicles

    • Inspect and document every finished job, correcting any flaws before the vehicle leaves the shop

    • Prepare vehicles thoroughly — cleaning, inspecting imperfections, and managing all prep work to exacting standards

    • Lead quality control and final inspections so every job meets or exceeds shop standards

    • Manage installation workflows, scheduling, and documentation using our shop software (training provided)

    • Maintain a clean, organized, safe work environment, and — as the team grows — coach apprentices on best practices

What We’re Looking For

Required:

    • 5+ years of professional PPF installation experience

    • Proven expertise in luxury and exotic vehicle PPF applications

    • Proficiency with DAP (Design Application Platform) and PPF plotter software

    • Command of edge work — you know when to wrap and tuck vs. relief-cut, and why

    • Comfort with complex panels (bumpers, mirrors, around headlights) without relying on precut kits

    • Advanced technical skill with hand tools, power tools, and specialized installation equipment

    • Demonstrated ability to deliver flawless, detail-oriented work on high-value vehicles

    • Ability to manage schedules, workflows, and quality standards independently

    • Commitment to the highest safety and quality standards

    • Photo release giving us the right to record and photograph you for company marketing and instructional content

    • Professional behavior — dress code, language, and timeliness

Preferred:

    • Ceramic coating certification or experience (Gtechniq, Ceramic Pro, Gyeon)

    • Multi-stage paint correction skills

    • Commercial / fleet wrap and large-format vinyl experience

    • Prior experience supervising or training other installers

    • Familiarity with estimating and quoting PPF, ceramic, and wrap jobs

    • Manufacturer certifications (e.g., XPEL, 3M, SunTek)

Compensation

Compensation is a base rate plus commission tied to the profitability of every job you lead or complete — so the better and faster your work, the more you earn.
